A call to prayer is being heard in the land. Can you hear the resounding cry in your Spirit? We must stand for our nation and all that we see coming upon our country. I have heard three different people (unrelated) that had encounters with God in dreams that were all saying the same thing that the church needs to rise up in prayer! We can change or lessen the enemies plans for our nation, if we pray. God wants us to to agree with Him that His will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. We have a God that changes times and seasons, if we take time to pray! He changes the times and seasons (world events); He removes kings and establishes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. (Dan 2:21).
I first want to give you all some encouragement that really helped me. I believe many of you, like me, have seen your spiritual weakness during this time of isolation. I was listening to one of those believers who had an encounter with Jesus.The first thing Jesus spoke was that His people are doing better than they think and many are discouraged. He said that a horde of demonic spirits had been released on Christians (when the virus was released) to make them feel that they don’t measure up and that they are rejected by God. Jesus said that they (Christians) are doing better than they think they are doing because there has been an attack on their soul. He said to just keep going. Stay on the path of righteousness. He repeated, “Tell them I love them and that they are doing better than they think they are because they are under spiritual attack.” This was water to my soul! The enemy is always there to tell us that we aren’t good enough but Jesus understands what is going on in the spiritual realm that we don’t see. He sees the onslaught in our minds and the discouragement in our souls. It is time to brush ourselves off and use our weapons. “For though we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We tear down arguments, and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God; and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Cor 10:3-4) We need to start to pray. Our weak prayers make a difference! I want prayer to be a ‘doable goal’ for everyone so I made Prayer Points with scriptural references. You can just pray through the prayers. Prayer changes situations and outcomes. Tom and I are opening our home in September to pray for our nation. Maybe you could make a commitment to really pray for our nation up to the elections. I find that once we have a goal it is easier to keep it up. Sometimes we don’t pray because we don’t know what to pray. I made these prayer points to help you feel empowered to pray! May they give you guidance to put your faith into action through prayer. Change them, pass them on but please take time and pray! God hears! LEADERS:
We pray for every leader, President, Attorney General Barr, Supreme Court Justices (and nominees to come), Congress, Senators, Mayors, Governors, Police Officers, Judges in our land, that you will give them wisdom. I pray that our leaders will do God’s will. Let them be directed to do righteousness. Reveal corruption in leaders and let them have grace to yield to you and your will. “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:1-5) May the spirit of prophecy start to work in our leaders, where they start to speak by your Spirit whether they know it or not, like you did with Caiaphas,“You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for people than that nation parish. Caiaphas did not say this on his own. Instead, as high priest that year, he was prophesying that Jesus would die for the nation…”(Acts 11:50.51)
Lord let our leaders yield to your will. We ask that You would either change hearts or remove those who will not rule and agree with your righteousness. Remove those who are living for themselves and aren’t there to serve. Replace them with people who want to serve, those who are humble and will do what is best for our country. Remove those who take bribes and replace them with those who are honest. “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Mt 6:10) ..you give grace to the humble.(JA 4:6)
NATION:
We bind evil right now over our nation and release righteousness. Let evil be exposed and judged. Jesus bring justice where evil is, make wrong things right. Every agenda that is not of you bring it to captivity. Bring peace in our nation where riots are. Let the leaders of the riots and evil ways find you. “I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Mt 16:18-19) As believers, we lay at the root an ax and cut off and dismantle the evil and it’s power over our nation, our country, our state and our city. We ask confusion over evil plans. We ask for a shifting in the atmosphere for good and that righteousness will reign through our justice system and government. Have mercy upon our nation and remove those who would cause our nation to go in a wrong direction. “Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. (Eph 6:10-11) “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)
PRAYERS FOR THE BODY:
We repent. We take accountability for our actions and beliefs. We turn our face back to you. We ask that you would heal our land. As we pray draw others back to you. “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14) May the fire of the Holy Spirit consume every evil thing and chaff in our lives, believers lives and those who are in leadership. You are a consuming fire. Remove those things that are unfruitful in our lives. Deliver us from our sins and from the evil one. “And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.” (Mt 6:13) Pray to receive the Spirit’s power so that Jesus’ presence would be manifest in us, so we experience God’s love. “I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” (Eph. 3:16-19) REVIVAL: Pray for workers to go and tell people about Jesus. “So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” (Mt 9:38) We pray for supernatural impartation of boldness and supernatural gifts of healing. “give us.. great boldness in preaching..Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.(Acts 4:29-31) Lord break into the atmosphere with your presence and power. Come and visit the earth and prove who you are to the world. Do more than we would even expect! “Oh, that you would burst from the heavens and come down [manifest your power]!…Then your enemies would learn the reason for your fame! When you came down long ago, you did awesome deeds beyond our highest expectations. For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!” (Is 64:1-4) Visit every household in our nation with fire. In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people; your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Upon every person I will pour out my Spirit in those days and they will prophesy.” (Acts 2:1,-4, 17, 18 )
